Wonderland <— I ONE CLICKED THIS ONE ON SUPER-SALE & I’m really getting a kick out of this author, you guys. This is my third one from her, and all of her story lines are right up my creepy alley, and each one, different than the next. More psych-thriller than horror (though some scaredy-cats might consider this horror 😉 ) and there’s always that dreaded moment that you’re waiting for that creeps the heck right out of you (and delights us creep-lovers to no end).

Book Review – The Last Stars in the Sky by Kate Hewitt
The Last Stars in the Sky (Lost Lake Book 1) <— This one gave me the ultimate blurb jolt, and I one-clicked it so hard!!! I had my hopes set on a certain outcome by what the blurb hinted at, and it delivered!!
Maryse: I JUST ONE-CLICKED THIS ONE ’cause it sounds incredible!! And it’s SUPER-BARGAIN priced right now. YAY ME!!!
“...just eight hours after I tucked my daughters into bed, feeling so hopeful, the world as I knew it—as anyone knew it—was gone for good…”
Book Review – The Long Walk by Stephen King
The Long Walk <— OMG ONE OF MY FAVORITE STEPHEN KING STORIES EVER!! And it’s on sale today! In fact, even though I’ve read it, I no longer have my paperback copy, so I’m one-clicking this one now!!
I remember everything about it, even where I was when I read it. I was in college, and it was a weekend at my then-boyfriend’s grandparents house. My boyfriend was having band practice with his crew, so I happily stayed behind, lying on her couch, my legs & feet propped up against the top of it, with her colorful knit afghan draped across the top and kept slipping down ’cause of my position.
Book Review – The Mother-In-Law by Sally Hepworth
The Mother-in-Law: A Novel <—
I absolutely loved this one, but it wasn’t quite “the obviousness” of what I was expecting. I thought it would be a domestic thriller about either an evil mother-in-law (yay!!) or maybe it would be the daughter-in-law that was the bad guy (oooooh… an unreliable narrator, maybe?)
And maybe it’s exactly that. Or maybe not… 🤷♀️ 😉 See? I’m an unreliable book blogger, now. 😂
There it was, randomly appearing on my Amazon feed, on super-sale, and I dunno… between skimming incredible editorial reviews, and the dark aura of the cover and tagline, I just knew it had to be mine. I was excited, anticipating chills, but what I experienced, surprisingly… was… warmth.
Book Review – Pen Pal by J.T. Geissinger
Pen Pal <— Okay so right off the bat, this (below) happened to me, and it was physical proof that I was LOVING (LOVED!!!) this book. I announced it to the world… er, well… the Facebook. 😉
One of my all time favorite authors in the whole world and why? ‘Cause she keeps on surprising me and there’s nothing better than thinking a story is going one way, and being twisted into a totally different direction. Something… maybe even better, or worse, but just as addicting! So. Much. Excitement.
