Wonderland <— I ONE CLICKED THIS ONE ON SUPER-SALE & I’m really getting a kick out of this author, you guys. This is my third one from her, and all of her story lines are right up my creepy alley, and each one, different than the next. More psych-thriller than horror (though some scaredy-cats might consider this horror π ) and there’s always that dreaded moment that you’re waiting for that creeps the heck right out of you (and delights us creep-lovers to no end).

Book Review – The Mother-In-Law by Sally Hepworth
The Mother-in-Law: A Novel <—
I absolutely loved this one, but it wasn’t quite “the obviousness” of what I was expecting. I thought it would be a domestic thriller about either an evil mother-in-law (yay!!) or maybe it would be the daughter-in-law that was the bad guy (oooooh… an unreliable narrator, maybe?)
And maybe it’s exactly that. Or maybe not… π€·ββοΈ π See? I’m an unreliable book blogger, now. π
There it was, randomly appearing on my Amazon feed, on super-sale, and I dunno… between skimming incredible editorial reviews, and the dark aura of the cover and tagline, I just knew it had to be mine. I was excited, anticipating chills, but what I experienced, surprisingly… was… warmth.
Book Review – Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann
Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann <—Β
This one came HIGHLY recommended by quite a few readers here right on the blog (and apparently, once they read this one, they delved deeper in the author’s repertoire and well… consensus is, her stories are pretty great!!!)
Lauren: Still Beating is also on my 2021 Best Reads!
Lynn: I have just finished reading Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann and before that I read her latest release, The Wrong Heart. They were both incredible emotional reads! If you want to experience feels and epic love stories then these two books are a must read! This is a new author to me and I am so in love with her flawless writing and storytelling.
Book Review – Beautifully Cruel by J.T. Geissinger
Beautifully Cruel was so often recommended to me because everyone knows my “type” and Liam was 100% IT. No nonsense. A leader. Hard to get. The ultimate bad-ass. I was told it had all of the romantic pining qualities of my past indie favorites, and that I would swoon over this unflinching Hero. Liam.
But that beard. That cover… kept killing it for me. The “hairy face” was just too much and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to develop my crush on this much-loved book boyfriend.
Book Review – My Husband’s Daughter by Emma Robinson
My Husband’s Daughter: An absolutely heartbreaking and gripping emotional page-turner
<— LOVED THIS BOOK (truly a page turner just as described) however I wish so badly that the author didn’t include all of that description in the book title. Due to that (yes I was intrigued and one-clicked because of that and also because of all of the awesome reviews this book has) buuuuuttt… I went into it with an almost preconceived notion of what I was about to embark upon.
